Job Information

Our client a family run business is looking for a Procurement Officer for its operation in the West Sussex area
 
 
Key Duties:
 
Buying of consumable items and parts to support maintenance, repair and overhaul activities
Responding to purchase requests
Responsible for purchase order from placement to receipt
Negotiating best value in all transactions
Building and maintaining relationships internally and externally
Working cohesively with different functions on special purchase requirements
Updating and maintaining online catalogues
Updating and maintaining Excel Spreadsheets
Booking of transport collections and deliveries to and from EU
Updating and maintaining online shipment tracking system
 
 
Key Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal skills
High accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Good administrative and organisational skills
Team player with the ability to use own initiative
Good working knowledge of MS Office suite
Basic Excel user level, Intermediate level ideally
Able to self-motivate and take ownership of their job role
