Job Information

We are assisting a well established and growing construction company and they are recruiting for a L&D Manager to join the business ASAP.
 
This role is for an initial 4-6-month Fixed Contract (may get extended or go permanent).
 
Working as part of a busy HR team and reporting into the Head of HR, the focus of the role will be to work on a key L&D project, implementing an on-line Learning Platform, in addition to day to day L&D support. Key duties and responsibilities will include;
 
-Lead and manage the implementation of a new on-line Learning platform, including working closely with IT to develop the system, designing user guidance, templates and checklists
-Develop and implement the L&D strategy and develop policy as appropriate
-Identify L&D needs to enable greater business performance.
-Develop various learning methods to achieve optimum results.
-Design and build the L&D hub, including designing and creation of training matter
-Delivering training workshops and identify and source training providers
-Negotiate with training providers to ensure cost effective relevant training is delivered
-Create, and deliver L&D courses and initiatives. Working pro-actively with the business and responding to business/commercial requirements.
-Manage the L&D Portal to ensure that the blended learning methods and courses offered are directly mapped to organisational and technical competency requirements, outlined in competency frameworks.

For this role candidates will need to have proven L&D experience at this level and hold experience on system implementation, managing similar Learning projects. Ideally candidates will hold CIPD and have previous experience of mapping L&D interventions to organisational competency frameworks.
 
It is essential that candidates hold excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with all levels across the business.
