We are working with a successful manufacturing and distribution group, and they are recruiting for a Head of Marketing to join the business.
 
This is an exciting opportunity and will lead the group marketing function and activities across 11 companies - main focus initially the UK and then also Europe, North America and Australia.
 
Reporting into a Senior Director, the role will be responsible for creating and delivering an effective marketing strategy, promoting brand positivity and effective marketing and communications messages. Ket duties and areas of responsibility will include;
 
-Develop and implement and effective Group Marketing strategy
-Manage, motivate, and develop the marketing team (3 people)
-Own, maintain and enhance brand positioning and core narrative, making sure this remains fresh and unique in a rapidly evolving marketplace
-Effectively manage and oversee key events and exhibitions for both the group and individual companies, including trade events, new product launches, networking and client / corporate events.
-Oversee and manage traditional marketing activities, with main focus on enhancing Digital & E-commerce process and promotion, technical digital creation and multi-channel marketing
-Support the growth of e-commerce platforms to achieve higher sales through this channel
-Drive the Group’s ESG strategy through collaboration with the ESG team
-Run targeted brand awareness and lead generation campaigns using online and offline channels
-Track and report progress against specific marketing targets using key metrics
-Work collaboratively with the sales teams to create client case studies and success stories to help leverage future growth
-Lead and develop the internal communication strategy
-Take overall editorial responsibility for content marketing that drives inbound sales enquiries
-Build and nurture marketing partnerships with relevant organisations that share their mission
-Develop compelling marketing collateral that communicates their value proposition
-Support the growth of social media accounts, increasing their reach and influence
-Overall responsibility for the Group’s websites and social media
-Manage the marketing budget, ensuring a clear ROI on all approved expenditure
-Select and manage external creative agencies and freelancers to agreed budgets

For this role it is essential that candidates have proven marketing experience at this level and have strong B2B Digital and Traditional marketing experience. Ideally candidates will come from a manufacturing / tangible product industry - although all candidates from all industries will be considered should they have the correct marketing experience.
 
Strong Digital / E-commerce experience is essential, ideally with WordPress experience.
 
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (verbal & written) are essential for this role, in addition to the ability to successfully lead, empower, manage, coach and develop a team.
