HR ADMINISTRATOR 

BASED IN HEYWOOD, GREATER MANCHESTER
PERMANENT – 29.6 HOURS PER WEEK

Location
The role will be based in Heywood; on occasions you may be asked to visit our other locations if needed. There is also a wellbeing garden and farm on site! 

Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a variety of different administrative tasks that underpin our HR processes. An interest in technology and experience of HRIS would be an advantage as the organisation are currently looking at implementing a new HR system.  General admin experience and good Microsoft office skills are essential.  Experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

HR Team
This role is to join an established and experienced HR team and reports into the HR Business Partner.  Other members of the team include an HR Director, a Learning and Development Team Leader, a HR Advisor and a HR Administrator. 

Hours of work
This is a part time role for 29.6 hours per week. The specific days and hours of work can be discussed at interview. 

Responsibilities
- Support the work of the business, in the area of HR and to provide the necessary advice and clerical support to fulfil HR administrative tasks.
- Monitor staff absence, reporting any concerns in line with the organisations sickness & absence procedures
- Liaise with Line Managers in respect of starters, leavers and exit interviews
- Be responsible for the placing of vacancy advertisements and subsequent recruitment management
- Ensure that DBS checks are carried out for all employees and that the organisation complies fully with the Disclosure and Barring Service and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Group 2006.
- Attend meetings as requested, take accurate minutes and prepare papers as necessary.
- Provide effective and efficient administrative support services and maintain accurate records and filing systems
- Complete accurate reference requests for current and former employees
- Support employees and managers with payroll queries and provide accurate information to payroll
- Participate in appropriate training and development as required, be responsible in the identification, and undertaking of your own training and development.
- Make suggestions for the improvement of services and help to implement these
- Maintain a working knowledge of routine fire safety, health and safety, and safeguarding in line with procedures and current legislation.
- Be familiar with and work within our policies and procedures, maintaining records and reports accordingly
