This Award Winning Broker has grown organically for the last 40 years and are now a thriving company specialising within the General Insurance markets and working with all of the Top Insurers in the market.

DUTIES:

·         To manage, motivate, support and develop members of your team

·         Conduct effective appraisals and 1-2-1’s

·         To action all client and insurer requests within service standards in accordance with Company procedures

·         To negotiate renewals with Insurers ensuring the right outcome is achieved for clients and issue these in accordance with Company procedures.

·         To be responsible for own Debtors and provide support and assistance to the Branch Director with the overall management of Debtors

·         To carry out file audits on your own direct reports and others as required

·         Assist the Branch Director as required with the integration of acquisitions

·         Assist Account Executives as required, including with the broking and placement of new clients

·         Identify, pursue opportunities for cross selling and up selling appropriate products to existing clients. · 

·         To contribute towards developing and implementing operational improvements, companywide.

·         Ensure files are suitably maintained so others can easily work from them when required.

·         Assist colleagues with their workload as your workload permits.

·         To carry out any additional duties which have been specifically assigned to you and/or may be reasonably requested by the Branch Director.

·         Represent the Company at relevant events, where appropriate.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         To comply with regulatory requirements, industry codes of practice, including CII Code of Ethics, and the Company’s own procedures and rules.

·         To ensure that any clients with whom you deal are treated fairly at all times.

·         To be aware of and manage any potential conflict of interest.

·         To maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills and keep up to date with technical, legal and market developments through Continuing Professional Development (CPD), attendance at internal and external training sessions and ensuring Broker Assess courses are up to date.

·         Commercial awareness – be able to seek and take opportunities to protect clients’ interests and to grow the business

·         E-commerce – have an understanding of and be able to use Insurers online quote systems as required

·         Market – knowledge of insurer strategies, capabilities and appetite, awareness of industry developments

·         Insurance knowledge – understands policy covers and explain them clearly and concisely to clients, is willing to expand knowledge by self-learning or attending Company arranged training sessions as appropriate

·         Delegated Authorities (if applicable) – understands the responsibilities inherent in acting on insurers behalf and implements, ensuring compliance with regulations and insurer agreements

·         Ideally 5+ years commercial broking.

·         OGI or Acturis would be advantageous but not essential
