The Role

As Head of Apparel Sales, the successful candidate will provide ongoing support, direction, best practice in-line with business objectives, requirements, and company standards to the sales team. In addition, you will collaborate with sales leadership across our product sectors to build an aligned, engaged, and high-performing sales team.

Objectives

- Achieve global commercial success of the apparel fabric section.
- Develop the apparel business in alignment with our brand vision.
- Provide leadership to a global network of motivated, proactive, and successful agents enabling the company to achieve its growth goals.
- Provide market insight and feedback into product development cycle to ensure long-standing market relevance.
- Work with the Sales Director to create an aligned, engaged, and high-performing apparel sales team.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Responsible for supporting and driving both internal and external sales teams to deliver monthly, quarterly, and yearly commercial goals.
- Oversee both new business and account management functions, implementing relevant metrics to keep the team on track and engaged whilst championing best practices.
- Develop key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans to improve service, increase sales and reduce costs in collaboration with the Sales Director and alignment with the wider commercial strategy.
- Build strong partnerships with product and marketing teams to craft successful go-to-market strategies.
- Focus on continuous improvement, reviewing and developing operational processes to drive team performance and maximise growth.
- Manage the overall apparel division P&L.
- Manage forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory.
- Prepare and present data for monthly reports, annual goals, sales budgets, forecasts, and other reports as required.
- Identify and drive continual improvement of the team through adopting a test-and-learn culture that challenges how we do things to continually evolve.
- Build and coach an exceptional sales team that is engaged, inclusive and high performing.
- Foster collaboration throughout the organisation, understanding the benefit and importance of strong central/local collaboration.

Skills & Competencies

- Proven experience in a senior commercial role with a demonstrable track record of success. It is likely that to succeed in this role, you will need to have at least 5 years' relevant experience.
- Intrinsic knowledge of the apparel/fashion industry, preferably both cut, length and bulk sectors.
- Experience growing product and brand equity.
- Strong commercial acumen (preferably with a business-related degree).
- Project management experience.
- Business improvement experience.
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems and methodologies is advantageous.
- Comfortable dealing with technology, data, and analytics.
- Be a team player with excellent people management skills - people and culture are at the forefront of this company
