Job Information

We are working with an established Law Firm, and they are looking for an experienced HR Professional for an 18 Month Fixed Contract, working as a HR Business Partner.
 
Reporting into the HR Director and working as part of a team of 5, the role will provide a proactive, high quality, client focused and effective generalist HR business partnering service to c180 employees. Key duties and responsibilities will include;
 
-Report into the HR Director, and overseeing 1 person, responsible for a specific client group of c100 employees
-Providing proactive and business focussed advice to Department Heads, Partners, Directors, line managers and employees on day-to-day HR issues
-Develop, implement, and review HR best practice policies and procedures which support business objectives and reflect current legislation
-Advise and manage the performance review process, coaching line managers and championing best practice. Play a key role in the success of continuous performance management across the firm
-Provide support, advice, and development to junior members of the HR team
-Recruitment of fee earners and support staff, including recommending recruitment methods, liaison with agencies, testing, interviewing and negotiating packages
-Manage agency relationships and develop firm's approach to recruitment
-Advising Department Heads and line managers on employee relations issues, e.g. performance issues, flexible working applications, disciplinaries and grievance
-Managing absence, guiding on any specific issues, and analysis of trends
-Handling new joiner inductions, the leaver process, exit interviews and analysis of trends
-Focus on employee engagement to retain staff at all levels
-Oversee and contribute to the firm's Wellbeing Programme and monthly sessions.
-Work with HRD to drive the salary and bonus review process within agreed timeline, including collection and analysis of information for salary and bonus review
-Management and administration of the Firms benefits including the Private Medical scheme, Group Personal Pension, Life Assurance, Group Income Protection, Childcare Voucher Scheme, Cycle to Work etc
-Work with HRD to ensure that we provide a competitive reward and benefits package
-Research and launch new benefits and promote existing benefits to ensure maximum uptake and benefit gained

For this role candidates will need to have proven experience working at this level and have experience working for a law firm, or similar industry such as financial or professional services. Ideally candidates will be CIPD Qualified, although this is not essential for experienced HR professionals.
 
This is a fast-paced role, where you will be expected to provide a professional and high-level HR service to stakeholders and build relationships; so candidates must be proactive, hold strong communication and interpersonal skills and work to a high level of accuracy.
