Our clients, a world leader in the supply of film equipment require a Repairs and Engineering Coordinator

The Repairs & Engineering Co-Ordinator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the repairs workshop. This is an opportunity to lead a growing and dynamic technical team and develop the departments capabilities to take on new and bigger challenges.

Duties Include:​

·         Managing the day-to-day operations of the workshop repairs team.

·         Providing assistance and guidance to workshop technicians working on repairs.

·         Aiding the repairs administrator in pricing billable repairs as early and accurately as possible.

·         Ensuring any deadlines and deliverables the workshop is responsible for meeting are met effectively.

·         Working closely with external repair suppliers to manage the flow of repairs between MBSE and them.

·         Using RT pro stock control system to identify where all repair stock is located either within MBSE or at external repair suppliers.

·         Identifying priority repairs coming into the workshop and working to ensure their quick turn-around.

·         Liaising with the Inventory Manager about retiring stock which is beyond economic repair.

·         Working closely with the Inventory/Quality Control teams to provide them the technical services of the department in processing new stock.

·         Develop and expand the capabilities of the repairs workshop.

Travel

·         To be prepared, able and comfortable when required to visit and/or work in other worldwide MBSE locations when there is a need to for fill their job role.

Person Specification:​

·         Prior electrical repairs experience is highly desirable.

·         Prior team management experience is desirable.

·         Must be IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.

·         Be able to work under pressure to changing deadlines.

·         Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan workload and keep track of multiple jobs.

·         Experience in the lighting industry of events, theatre or film is desirable but not essential.

 

Salary £35-£38,000 neg, Private Medical, Death in Service, Company Pension
