Salary – £50,000 - £55000 plus benefits 


We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a progressive and growing financial services organisation based in Leeds City Centre.  

The role reports directly into the HR Manager and will be responsible for providing a professional and comprehensive HR service to the business through the provision of guidance and advice on all operational HR matters. With over 500 employees the successful candidate must be able to operate at a fast pace and have an understanding of diversity and inclusion.

The Role
- Build strong business relationships through the provision of excellent service and support to team leaders and managers on a wide range of HR issues.   
- Provide generalist HR support and advice on a wide range of issues including recruitment, employment legislation, performance management and the implementation and application of policies.
- Participate in the conduct and preparation of disciplinary/grievance investigations and meetings.
- Participate in developing departmental goals, objectives and systems and work proactively to continually improve the quality and timeliness of HR departmental processes.
- Support and contribute towards general HR department activities as required.
- Contribute to ongoing HR initiatives and projects as required.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the HR Manager
- Maintain expertise by continually developing and building knowledge and skills.


The Person

The successful candidate will be:
- CIPD qualified
- Able to demonstrate HR knowledge and experience.
- Proven experience at HR Officer level
- Develops a partnership approach to problem resolution.
- Displays confidence and assertiveness in discussions and the ability to influence decision making.
- Initiative to drive forward HR processes and shape new projects.
- Able to evidence the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
- Understands company and departmental objectives and priorities and works to meet them.
- General knowledge of employment law
- The ability to effectively communicate in all forms at all levels within an organisation.
- Results orientated – able to focus on specific targets and demonstrate target achievement.
- Capable of producing high quality work in a flexible, fast paced environment
- Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Tenacity – the ability to be clear and focussed on achieving the end result even when faced with repeated external obstacles.
- Experience of using a HR System
- Builds rapport with colleagues.
- Is aware of personal development needs and raises issues with manager to help improve effectiveness. Takes on board comments about development needs and is always willing to learn.
- Experience of working in a service industry, in a high-volume processing environment (Desired)
