We are working with an established creative business, and they are recruiting for a HR Manager to join the business.
 
This role would be ideal for a seasoned HR Generalist / HR Advisor looking for the next step in their career, or established HR Manager looking for a new challenge. There is excellent scope to take on more responsibility and progress into a director role within the business.
 
Reporting into the Operations Director and Board, this is a newly created and exciting Stand-Alone HR Manager role, supporting 3 UK sites on all HR areas. The role will encompass all day-to-day HR functions including recruitment, ER, starters leavers, supporting the senior leadership team, HR advice and guidance, executing people focused policies, programmes, and processes. Key responsibilities and duties include;
 
-Working in a stand-alone capacity managing all areas of HR, supporting c160 employees across 3 UK sites (Uxbridge, Hertfordshire, and Yorkshire)
-Provide transactional and day to day operational HR support, whilst also supporting with project and strategic HR and supporting the senior team
-Conduct a HR health check, including; review, suggest and roll out improvements with HR processors and policies, HR best practice, handbooks, and contracts etc
-Assess the current HR system and recommend best route forward to support business growth
-Create a robust recruitment process to include the best channels for finding talent, creating job adverts, selection strategies, interview questions
-Build an onboarding and induction process - document and share with appropriate team members
-Take ownership of leavers process, document as relevant and roll out to the business
-Review and recommend training and development opportunities for staff
-Roll out an effective employee appraisal and PDPs across the business
-Support, coach and upskill line managers on all HR matters relating to their teams
-Explore ways of measuring and improving employee engagement
-Support the implementation of specific accreditation projects, review well-being initiatives, talent and succession planning and lead on various HR initiatives
-Support change management processes i.e. restructures, site moves etc.
-Monitoring and reviewing the employee handbook, developing HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary to ensure legal compliance and adherence to best practice

For this role candidates will need to have proven HR experience at this level and ideally have exposure working for an SME in a stand-alone capacity.
 
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the excellent influencing and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
