Role

As the Recruitment Lead for a multi-academy Trust, you will provide a comprehensive recruitment management service to actively contribute to an effective and efficient HR function. You will line manage the Recruitment Administrator, providing them with guided mentoring and development. 
You will be based at the Head Office in Knottingley (WF11) but you will be expected to be able to regularly travel across the academies as required. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Liaise with the HR Manager in ensuring that the recruitment support for the Trust is efficient, organised effectively, and that appropriate steps are taken to ensure confidentiality of all information.
- Work closely with the HR & Recruitment Administration Lead, to maintain the central filing system.
- Ensure that there is always appropriate cover within the Recruitment team, escalating any issues to the HR Manager. 
- Write and review job descriptions and person specifications to meet the trust needs and ensure consistency. 
- Coordinate Trust wide recruitment events. 
- Lead recruitment 
- Ensure core team managers are trained and using the recruitment module of the HR system.
- Ensure the Trust’s recruitment website is kept up to date with relevant policies and opportunities and ensure candidate information is processed in a secure and timely manner. Ensure that all new employees have completed all pre-employment checks satisfactorily, liaising with appropriate external agencies where required. 

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience 

- GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, in both English and Maths 
- Experience of coordinating recruitment or large-scale events 
- Proven experience of working within a busy office 
- Proven knowledge and understanding of the importance of customer relations. 
- Proven knowledge and experience of working within a school environment. 
- Proven experience of administration and organisational skills (A/I/R) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
- Ability to manage workload and that of others to ensure tasks are carried out effectively. 
- Ability to supervise others. 
- Fully proficient in Microsoft packages and general IT skills to be able to produce quality reports, documents and presentations along with creating and managing simple databases and spreadsheets. 
- Use of a car for business use (proof of insurance required) with business mileage expenses reimbursed.
