Job Description

Practice Manager required for a busy and growing IFA financial planning firm in Coventry.

Role and responsibilities

Our Clients are looking for someone who has gained management and administration experience with a financial planning or IFA practice to undertake the duties that broadly fall into the following categories:

Operations

  • Heading up and overseeing the operational development of the business including employee recruitment and retention, training and development, continual improvement, benefits and rewards, facilities, team meetings and operational projects.
  • Overseeing the provision of operational activities to support the business needs.
  • Determining the short, medium, and long-term operational plans and targets for the business and setting out how these will be achieved.


Business Administration

  • Delivery of all aspects of business administration.
  • Support to the Director in the provision of Compliance administration activities.
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.
  • Ensuring compliance files are maintained.
  • Continuous professional development to meet personal development needs.
  • Liaise with external parties in respect of compliance matters.
  • Maintaining facilities and office stock.


Finance Administration

  • Recording and reconciling commission receipts.
  • Accounts payable.
  • Monitoring and managing Debtors and Creditors.

Essential Skills

  • At least two or three years of experience gained working in an IFA / financial planning business.
  • Financial planning administration, sales support of business or office management experience.
  • Possess high levels of attention to detail and be highly accurate.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Have the willingness to pitch in and help out in other areas when required.
