Senior HR Officer

Full-time, permanent, based in Leeds (LS10) 
Salary:  Up to £35k DOE
Reporting to:  Head of HR 

Role:

The Senior HR Officer is responsible for supporting the Head of HR in delivering all HR activities across the business, and providing advice and assistance to line managers and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Support the Head of HR to implement the HR strategy across the business. 
- Work closely with managers across the business, assisting them to understand and implement policies and procedures and employment legislation.
- Provide confidential support to employees on all HR issues or queries in line. 
- Review policies and procedures to reflect best practice and legislative changes. 
- Analyse data and report on information such as headcount, absence and turnover. 
- Lead on ER cases including grievances, disciplinary and performance improvements.
- Provide support to the Head of HR on any TUPE processes and restructures.
- Assist managers in implementing the Company’s absence management procedures.
- Support line managers with yearly performance reviews. 
- Working closely with line managers at all levels (coaching, mentoring, training), assisting them to understand policies, procedures and employment legislation.
- Identify, plan, coordinate, and deliver training, including inductions for new staff where required. 
- Assist in supporting the rollout of People initiatives, projects and improvements within the organisation. 
- Ensure HR correspondence, systems, processes and records are accurate, updated in a timely manner, and managed in line with Data Protection requirements.
- Fulfilment of additional other ad hoc duties as required.

Key Person Requirements

The successful applicant is likely to have experience of the following:
- Relevant HR generalist experience
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (minimum) or equivalent
- Full employee lifecycle experience
- Understanding of relevant employment legislation
- Employee relations experience
- TUPE 
- Absence Management
- Recruitment and retention
- Training and development
