We are working with a well-established manufacturing company, and they are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the business ASAP. This role is a busy position and responsible for providing HR support on a range of generalist areas and they need candidates who are confident, can hit the ground running and can build relationships.
 
Working as part of a team of 3 and reporting into the Head of HR, the role involves supporting a multi-site client group of c350 employees (UK and International). The focus of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the HR function and the development and monitoring of HR processes across the whole of the employment life cycle i.e., from recruitment, end to end ER case management, HR best practice, supporting on HR projects, through to employee exit. Key duties will include;
 
-Reporting into the Head of HR, working as part of a team of 3 people
-Generalist HR role, supporting a client group of c350 employees across 3 UK sites and some support to international offices
-Support the Head of HR with the development and delivery of HR strategy projects.
-Work on various HR projects, including a new HR system implementation, review and updating of HR policies, handbooks, contracts etc, employee surveys, culture, and values etc
-Assist with annual policy, procedure, and company handbook updates.
-Implementation of HR policies to help ensure that these are in line with best practice and current legislation, and reviewed as part of wider HR strategy
-Provide in-house HR advice and support, ensuring that all company policies and processes are consistently applied and that all HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably.
-Managing, supporting, and providing advice on a range of ER cases, including investigations, grievance, performance, and disciplinary matters
-Provide support and training to managers on all employee matters, including up-skilling and development and providing up to date advice on employment law
-Support on recruitment activities, including preparing job descriptions, job advertisements (internal and external), interviewing, offer letters, contracts of employment, contract amendments etc
-Assist with company benefits management including liaising with occupational health.
-Support and cover when necessary, the full in-house payroll processing cycle (training for this will be provided)

For this role candidates will need to have proven HR experience at this level, hold CIPD level 5 and ideally (although not essential) have experience within a similar sector with a mix of blue- and white-collar workers.
 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role and the ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and able to work on their own initiative.
