We are working with a well-established Education Organisation, and they are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join the business ASAP.
 
The role would be ideal for an experienced HR Advisor looking for a new opportunity with a well-established Trust, who has proven experience working within the Education industry and can work in an autonomous role and fast paced role.
 
For this role, and as you will be travelling across 4 sites (East London and Essex), it is essential that candidates can drive and have access to a car.
 
Reporting into the Head of HR and working as part of a regional team of 8, the role will be responsible for providing HR support across 4 local sites. The focus of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the HR function, providing advice and guidance across the full employment life cycle i.e., from recruitment, ER cases, coaching and up-skilling managers, through to employee exit. Key duties will include;
 
-Working as part of a busy regional HR team reporting into the Head of HR and working as part of a team of 8 people.
-Generalist HR role, responsible for a client group of c300 employees across 4 local sites
-Support the Head of HR with the implementation and roll out of the People Strategy, aligned to the organisations business objectives
-Development and implementation of a wide range of HR processes and activities
-Assist Head of HR with Change management restructures within the organisation
-Responsible for cases delegated by the Head of HR with all HR matters for the Trust schools as necessary, ensuring that up-to-date guidance and procedures are understood and implemented at all times.
-Manage a portfolio of HR casework and functions and provide advice on HR issues. Support Head Teachers and senior leadership team with all areas of Employee Relations, including managing absence and sickness, disciplinary, grievances and capability
-Work with managers to identify appropriate learning and development interventions to support upskilling, coaching, and bridging of learning gaps
-Be the point of contact to stakeholders and provide HR advice and guidance across all areas of generalist HR.
-Support and advise on HR policies, procedures, and HR best practice, ensuring HR matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with UK Employment law and statutory frameworks
-Oversee and support with HR administration and updating HR information
-Update colleagues, as appropriate to comply with current legislation and policies affecting practice, e.g., the Children’s Act, KCSIE, National Service Frameworks, Safeguarding/Child Protection Procedures, Health and Safety and Data Protection

For this role candidates will need to have proven HR experience at this level, be CIPD Level 5 qualified and have previous education industry experience (schools ideally). It is essential that candidates have up to date knowledge of employment law and statutory frameworks, and be confident supporting the sites across all areas of HR.
 
Candidates will need to hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be confident working in a busy and autonomous HR role. Excellent scope to develop and take on more responsibility.
 
Supporting a client group over 4 local sites, you will be responsible for fully managing your own diary, being present on the sites when needed. When not on site you will be office based in the central office.
