We are working with a multi-faceted governing body, and they are looking for an experienced Head of HR to join the business.
 
This is a hybrid working role - 3 days from home and 2 days in the office, plus flexible working hours.
 
The role would be ideal for a seasoned Head of HR or Senior HR Manager who is looking for a busy, varied and autonomous role.
 
Reporting into the HR Director and providing support to 250 employees, the focus of the role is to provide an operational and strategic HR service to the business, whilst also working on key HR projects and initiatives. The Head of HR will provide leadership to drive excellence in human resources initiatives that align with the vision and values within the businesses culture. Key duties will include;
 
-Reporting into the HR Director, overseeing a team of 4 people and providing full HR support to c250 permanent employees and assisting with c700 contractors
-Manage day to day operations of the HR team and ensure people related policies and procedures are compliant with employment law, relevant regulations and demonstrate best practice.
-Form strong working relations with relevant stakeholders in order to better understand the business needs, seeking to influence where needed.
-Ensuring the employee life cycle is delivered effectively and contributes positively towards the organisations culture.
-Support and lead on a number of key HR projects and initiatives, including management and lead on companywide events and conferences, employee engagement surveys and actions, involvement on a new HR system, including sourcing, testing and implementation.
-Ensure that the company complies with current regulations, accepted professional standards, policies and procedures and legislation
-Assist the HR Director with the execution of the HR Strategy and core areas of the HR department including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, reward, and recognition
-Maintaining and improving HR systems and ensuring that key people data can be provided and interpreted to underpin business cases i.e. attrition, recruitment, performance, development etc
-Proactively complies with all organisation policies and acts as a role model for the organisation and culture, ensuring that the company key values and approach are displayed.
-Ensure managers are sufficiently skilled and enabled to access appropriate guidance and information to manage workforce issues.
-Lead and have a good understanding of Safer Recruitment practices and the DBS processes and regulations

For this role candidates will need to have proven HR experience at this level, be CIPD Qualified and ideally have experience within a relevant sector, such as governing bodies, not for profit, education, healthcare (or any other relevant regulatory sector).
 
This is a fantastic role for an experienced senior HR Professional, with lots of scope to streamline and improve a proactive HR service to the business. The role is predominantly managing all aspects of operational HR, although will also have involvement with strategic and HR project work.
 
Candidates will need to hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be confident working in a busy, fast paced and autonomous HR role. Excellent scope to develop and take on more responsibility.
