 Commercial Insurance Account Handler and Internal Sales

Location – Rotherham (North) – office Based role

Salary to – £35,000 DOE, Bonus, Pension and Flex benefits

Our client is a leading independent Insurance Broker who has been trading for over 30 years and now due to continued Organic Growth are looking for a commercial insurance Account Handler to join the team

  • Primary focus on retention of commercial business through the renewals, new business quotes and mid-term adjustment process meeting reasonable targets, which are reasonable and fair, as set by the Managing Director and/or Senior Manager. 
  • Generating new commercial business through warm leads.
  • To support the company with any incoming customer service via phone or email.
  • To support the rest of the sales team with small commercial business by providing training and sharing of expertise on ongoing basis in order to ensure the business meets overall profit targets.
  • Meet business administration requirements including support of internally based sales administration and support on claims when required, in line with FCA regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities of the role

Commercial Sales

  • Responsibility for maintaining commercial business through the renewals process and increase the growth of commercial sales across the business by assisting in quotations for new business and supporting the sales team. 
  • Sales functions to be completed at any site of the Company operations and field-based work required which will include visiting existing and potential customers. 
  • To promote AS Insurance services to business prospects through innovative marketing routes in order to achieve business income targets.
  • Develop new business pipelines to increase profits across the business in accordance with targets set by Avril Storey.
  • Adhere to all business policies and procedures and ensure compliance with FCA regulations across all business activities.
  • Where possible, engage in innovation of product lines to increase profitability across the business by sharing expertise and ideas with the Company subject

 

Operations

  • Support all employees of the business in all matters of commercial lines administration and when required.
  • MID & Fleet declaration administration
  • System Configuration within our software package
  • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping of all business activities in line with business requirements, policies, and procedures and FCA regulatory compliance.
  • Actively encourage and engage in improvements that can made to the operations of the business as and when required.

Undertake any other activities as requested by the management team as and when required
