Our client is an established firm of Wealth Planners based in Hampshire who require an Investment Manager or Wealth Planner.

The role is flexible in terms of home based etc.

Overview of Role

The purpose of this role is to assist the Managing Director with the development and maintenance of the Company’s discretionary investment strategies, model portfolio construction and management, fund due-diligence, strategic and tactical allocation, performance attribution and client investment bulletins. 

As such, the successful candidate will have a strong investment and academic background and will be experienced in managing private client and trustee multi-asset portfolios, in a risk-controlled manner. They will particularly have experience of fund analysis (including exchange-traded products and investment trusts) within portfolios, and knowledge of offshore investment is preferable. 

They will have primary responsibility for fund due diligence, liaison with the Investment Committee and will assist the CIO in portfolio justification and management. 

Our client is a flexible employer, and the role may be either full-time or part-time, and flexibility is available for the successful candidate to work primarily, or partially, from home. All required IT hardware, support and professional development will be provided.

 

Specific responsibilities

Undertaking fund selection and due diligence in manner consistent with the Company’s investment policy, procedures and regulatory obligations.

Undertaking appropriate research to assist the Company with its chosen investment strategy.

Constructing and managing investment portfolios as detailed in the Company’s investment policy and procedures.

Making sure investment decisions made are consistent with the stated objectives and constraints of the client/portfolio as appropriate.

Making sure portfolios are managed in accordance with the client’s mandate, objectives and agreed risk profile.

Making sure trades are placed with third parties in accordance with the firm’s best execution policy.

Making sure accurate and timely trades are made.
