Cameron James are currently working with one of the largest international insurance brokers within Direct and reinsurance, based out of London.

Our client is looking to appoint a Marine claims technician specialising in marine cargo on both Direct and Reinsurance.

The ideal candidate should have the following -

Experience & Competencies
* Claims handling experience from a broker background
* Experience of Cargo marine cliams
* Working knowledge of CLASS and the Insurers` Market Repository (ECF)
* Knowledge of markets - specifically Xchanging\Lloyd`s\Company markets
* Knowledge of current claims schemes (2006 and 2010 Claims Schemes)
* Handling claims from first advice through to settlement to include claims preparation via Brokersure and ECF/CLASS
* Providing excellent service to both clients and underwriters
* Maintaining files and keeping them up to date
* Updating tracking systems
* Regular liaison with Clients, Underwriters, Loss Adjusters and other appointed experts
* Utilising Claims repository as required

Responsibilities
* Provide effective liaison with clients, producers and underwriters in order to fully service the accounts
* Ensure client satisfaction through excellent claims service
* Maintaining up to date/accurate documentation, files, excel spreadsheets relating to relevant accounts
* Maintain close liaison with Accounts department to ensure prompt payment of claims
* Attend team meetings
* Build strong professional relationships with market practitioners to improve claims service and partnership working
* Demonstrate commitment to continuous personal and professional development through active participation in development events.
