Job Information

My client, based in Stockton-on-Tees, is looking for an experience Assistant Accountant to join their growing accountancy firm. This position will revolve around working in a team to deal with high volumes of clients finances from multiple sectors reporting to one of the partners.

Main duties:
• Maintain sales and purchase ledgers
• Year-end accounts
• Monthly VAT returns
• Financial and operational due diligence
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Preparing accounts for review
• Day-to-day bookkeeping

Ideal candidate:
• 1 years’ experience in an accountancy firm
• AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified
• Proficient with Excel
• Knowledge of Iris or Xero : desirable

This position would suit someone who is looking to widen their experience within an accountancy firm whilst pursuing study. My client is offering a competitive salary of around £18,000 with the addition of study support.
