Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working closely with an award winning MGA based in Leeds as they look to expand their internal business development team.

The purpose of the role is to manage an existing panel of brokers with regards to online personal insurance products. The IBDM will have responsibility for developing maintaining broker relationships which deliver commission income and will be responsible for E trade broker support/follow up/marketing campaigns.

This is an office based role and the IBDM is expected to assist the field based sales team with administration and a large amount of telephone based broker contact.

Main activities and tasks:

• Manage the panel of brokers trading electronically
• Remote management of a small panel of off-line brokers
• Developing close broker relationships
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective and targeted campaigns
• Manage every aspect of the electronic distribution sales support, ensuring timely responses to broker enquiries and questions
• Support the Sales Team in coordination and administrative tasks
• Working with sales and underwriting teams to ensure that the CRM system is accurate and up to date
• Facilitate profitable revenue growth measured against original budget.
• Play a lead role in the implementation of a focused and targeted approach to new business acquisition
• Develop self in order to maximize personal contribution to the job
• Be aware of and comply on an ongoing basis with the rules and requirements and principles of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

To be considered for this role you will have excellent communication skill and able to build good relationships with clients and colleagues. You will have a natural enthusiasm for developing relationships and used to working in a proactive manner. It is essential that you have a good understanding of general insurance products including an overview of regulatory requirements and an awareness of competitors markets would be advantageous.
