Our client is a growing SME and due to continued growth, are looking for an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller to join the business.
Reporting into the Directors the role the role will be responsible for all day to day management of the accounts team.
The company is going through a fast period of growth, so you will be responsible for ensuring sound financial controls are in place, streamlining and implementing accounting procedures and systems and providing Directors with upto date financial information.
Candidates who have worked in growing SME's in a period of substantial growth and have acquisition experience would be of interest.
Key focus of the role;

Management of the finance function and managing the team on a day to day basis
Preparation of monthly management accounts and month-end process
Statutory accounting and preparing for the auditors
Preparation of the management pack- providing analysis of the P&L and Balance sheet, Variance analysis and performance review
Providing analysis on department performance across the business, interpreting the results and providing guidance and recommendations to improve overall business performance.
Commercial analysis - cost savings, P&L analysis, performance reporting and drilling down on the accounts, Budgeting and cash flow reporting
Implementation of sound financial controls and improving and reviewing current systems and procedures.
Overseeing and hands on involvement of all day to day accounting - ledger control, accounts reconciliation, cash management, fixed assets, payroll, credit control ect
For this role candidates will need to be fully qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA and have strong technical accounting experience and have worked in a similar role.
Ideally candidates will have experience within a services based industry.
