Our client a highly respected broker is looking for an experienced Account handler to assist in the General Office in Coventry.

The role is to deliver a prompt and professional service to the existing client base along with fellow Account Handlers and the Account Executives, ensuring that all renewal income is in line with the company budget and that the client’s interests are being duly served. To assist with new business broking To ensure professional service of existing accounts and retention of renewals to achieve company income targets in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements in accordance with the Procedure Manual.



• To assist in the conversion of new business.
• Help ensure Commercial Department works pro-actively to achieve targets set by the Board.
• Respond to enquiries from clients and insurers received by phone, letter, e-mail or fax in a courteous and helpful manner and ensure that all information required by clients or underwriters is obtained and communicated.
• To share responsibility for dealing with any actions attaching to existing clients on mid-term adjustments.
• Although not registered as an Approved Person, comply at all times with the FCA’s 11 Principles for Business. And to help ensure the smooth internal running of the General Insurance Office.
• The management of existing clients records in terms of accuracy and quality of advice
• The provision of a superior client service
• Renewal Retention in accordance with budgeted income
• Successful cross-selling of products
• Finding/suggesting opportunities to promote the company or increase business revenue and implementing the ideas
• Ongoing relevant Continuous Professional Development
