My client, an insurance company based in Bedfordshire, is currently recruiting for an Accounts Manager to join their expanding team. This role is responsible for the management of the Accounts Department and management and control of departmental expenditure. Working with a larger team, this position reports into the Office Manager.

Main duties:

• Reporting and accounting
• Business planning
• Staff management, motivation & training
• Manage payment systems
• Manage costs & overheads
• Reconciliation of bank accounts
• Prepare monthly salaries for sign off
• Prepare all audit documents
• Participate in annual budget preparation


Ideal candidate:

• Experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of payroll regulations
• Experience of Accounting Applications
• Experience of Open-I computer system
