Assistant Accountant - IMMEDIATE REQUIREMENT

Cameron James are working with a growing and established home improvements provider in Leeds who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to come on board and build the accountancy function. This is a high profile and important position for the company and plays an integral part of the business growth plan.

The successful candidate will come from an accountancy background, ideally standalone and will have the autonomy to drive the accountancy function forward.

The Role:

• Solely responsible for the monthly and weekly payroll function
• Dealing with all areas of purchase ledger and sales ledger
• Assisting in management accounts and trial balances
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit control and invoicing
• Matching, batching and coding invoices


The Candidate:

• AAT Qualified as a minimum (or studying)
• Experience within an accounts team is essential
• Must have proven experience with end to end payroll
• Ambitious and proactive
• Team leadership material
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
