• Major international food producer, specialising in fresh produce


Duties and Responsibilities:

• The main focus will be surrounding the global procurement of fresh produce. The main geographical supply areas being the Far East, South America and India.
• You will be accountable for a spend of around £15m
• Proactively manage all inbound product, services and quality to ensure category performs in line specifications and owns overall governance of ongoing supply chain safety and integrity
• Responsible for day to day supplier & contract management ensuring the business relationship is maximised through conducting periodic business reviews and responsible for owning overall relationship matrix and hierarchy



Skills/ experience:

• Experience of sourcing, strong negotiation of price and terms and knowledge of best practice procurement principles are a must
• You must be fluent in Mandarin


• CIPS professional qualification or equivalent
Category management experience (FMCG / retail / Food / Fresh Produce / Fruit)
• An ability to build partnerships both internally and externally
