We are working with an established manufacturing company based in Huddersfield and they are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join the business.

Reporting into the HR Manager, the role is a varied generalist position and will be involved in all aspects of HR, supporting a customer base of around 400 employees.

Based in Huddersfield, the role will also involve some travel to other sites in the UK - around 2-3 times per month. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

•Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service in relation all aspects of ER; absence management, conduct and capability, grievance matters and employee relations matters.
•Support manager and provide HR guidance on TUPE transfers and restructures
•Support managers with the effective and efficient performance of their employees, identifying and facilitating appropriate interventions through the appraisal processes.
•Guide managers through employee relations cases in real time, intervening and steering in the appropriate direction taking account of governing policies, employment law, best practice and precedent.
•Advise on developments in employment legislation and human resources best practice
•Analyse weekly and monthly KPI’s on sickness, flexi and bonus information taking action and making recommendations as appropriate.
•Contribute to and support the continuous improvement of HR systems, practices and policies in the organisation, ensuring they meet current legislation.
•Consult on issues related to workplace relations and performance management.
•Provide an advisory service to employees ensuring that they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements.
•Recruitment - Own the recruitment process. Supporting line managers with the recruitment process. Networking with suppliers and externally to promote employer branding.

For this role it is essential that candidates have proven experience working at this level. It would be a distinct advantage to have experience with TUPE and Change management - although this is not essential.

Ideally candidates will hold CIPD or be actively working towards this. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be dealing with managers and employees across the business.
