Commercial SBU Insurance Account Handler

I am working with one of our premium clients who are on the lookout for a technically minded, experienced commercial Account Handler to join their SBU unit.

As an Account Handler you will be working within the Corporate team and your focus will be to act as a primary point of contact for SME clients with a premium spend typically up to Β£7.5k, providing a professional service, establishing effective relationships and generating policy documentation in a compliant and timely manner.

Responsibilities include: -

• Working as part of the wider client services team to provide a professional service delivery on new business, growth and retention of our SME clients
• Generating and inviting renewals to existing clients, sourcing packaged policies that fit the clients demands and needs whilst answering any queries
• Dealing with Commercial package policies, financial lines such as D&O, Professional Indemnity and more specialist products including Marine, Fleet to name a few
• Bringing in New Business through upselling, cross-selling and self-generated leads
• Build and maintain an excellent rapport with clients, providers and colleagues
• Be the first point of contact to provide clients with professional support and accurate information with regards to their product and services

Requirements; -

• Working knowledge of most Commercial packages of insurance
• 2 years’ minimum working within a similar role
• Experienced in bringing in New Business on a consistent basis
• The ability to work well within a team environment but using your own initiative to succeed
• Desire to apply yourself and develop your own skillset within the role
• Cert CII qualification or working towards the qualification is beneficial
• A confident and professional personality
