Commercial Insurance Broking Development Manager

To develop new and nurture existing Account Executive relationships to increase the flow of new business enquiries to ensure high retention ratios at renewal.

Manage supervision of Account Executives by holding regular calls & meetings in accordance with procedures

Manage workload, train and mentor Account Executives and Account Handlers

Ensure business is broked and placed correctly with preferred markets and to maintain high levels of service to other team members, customers and suppliers

Principal Responsibilities:

• Work with Account Executives to renew cases & manage their renewal database
• Ensure documentation that is sent to insurers is accurate and complete
• Deal with Account Executive queries swiftly & accurately
• To develop and maintain good relations with underwriters
• Ensure all Account Executive renewals include the Complete Sale & Account Executives are provided with quotes in adequate time, including Health & Safety
• Ensure all new Account Executives receive full training on systems and procedures following our training programme
• To help develop and maintain systems and procedures for compliance with our regulators
• Work with Account Executives by holding regular calls & meetings in accordance with procedures
• Update CRM system for all New Business & Renewal Quotes
• To ensure that all Account Executives receive a high level of support and are dealt with in an efficient, friendly and professional manner at all times

Person Specific:

• Cert CII (minimum) but preferably Dip CII or working towards
• Good understanding of a variety of commercial business classes
• To be able to comply with working practices
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to work as part of a team with good organisation skills
