HR Assistant

To administer and co-ordinate daily activities of HR and Office functions helping to implement and communicate staff policies, processes and distribute any relevant employment documents. They will liaise between employees and line managers, ensuring smooth communication and prompt query resolution. They will work autonomously and assist with more complex HR duties like recruitment, liaison with candidates and coordination of the on-boarding processes.

Management of new starter processes, including carrying out inductions, background checks, setting up new employees on payroll and ensuring all relevant training is delivered.
Co-ordinating leaver processes, including producing termination documents, arranging transfer of work, conducting exit interviews and logging feedback.
Issuing contracts of employment to new members of staff and amending any changes.
Collating of information for the monthly payroll process.
Assisting with recruitment, composing adverts and job descriptions, conducting interviews and liaison with agencies.
Management of staff absences such as sickness or holidays. Conducting return to work interviews and communicating absence policies in place.
Assisting with employee relations issues such as maternity leave, flexible working requests and grievances.
Maintaining and reviewing all internal HR polices and updating in line with legislation.
Preparing monthly HR Reports for HR Manager. Ensuring that all KPIs are included.
Maintaining of a new self-service HR system.
