Cameron James is working with an established manufacturing business based in Leicestershire and they are looking to recruit for a HR Director / Head of HR to join their team on a permanent basis.HRD / Head of HR
- Responsible for bringing the business’s HR standards up to continually changing legal and best practice requirements, whilst at the same time managing the current processes and procedures.
- Working with the senior team on a regular basis to deliver company and HR objectives
- Advise and inform the board on all HR matters, including setting the HR priorities for the business.
- Advise all management and employees on the full range of HR activities, (including policies & procedures, terms and conditions, absence management, restructuring, recruitment, retention, performance management, relations, pay & benefits and learning and development), to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management throughout the business. (Hands on HR management where required).
- Challenge accepted thinking on all aspects of people management & development to improve organisational capabilities now and in the future (succession planning).
- To ensure that all HR & Training processes are understood and implemented across company sites and to carry out audits of existing processes with the aim of continual improvement.
You must;
- Fully CIPD qualified, ideally chartered M/FCIPD status together with evidence of continuing professional development.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven generalist experience including the ability to work at strategic and operational levels.
- Experience of leading a HR function.
- Proven ability to persuade and influence at senior management level
- Case management experience to senior level (disciplinary, attendance, grievance, performance)
- Experienced in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
