Our client is an independant British company that designs, manufactures and distributes a variety of items and fabrics.

THE ROLE

They are looking for a Payroll/ Accounts specialist to join their finance team from immediate effect, and will offer a very competitive salary for the suitable candidate. It is a 9 months Contract position, working hours 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, and you'll be expected to deal with Payroll 2 out of the 5 days providing weekly coverage of approximately 200 members of staff.

Duties will include processing bonuses and overtime, as well as carrying out all associated administration including recording holidays, sickness, maternity etc.

Additional Finance duties will include maintaining the Cash Book, posting and allocating Credit/Debit cards receipts, coding and updating the expenses spread sheet, instrastats (import & export), sales credit report, reviewing transport invoices /credit notes, utility invoices as well as other general administration duties.

The successful candidate must have recent experience within a financial environment. Previous working experience in Payroll, with an understanding of statutory payments will be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. Good time management is essential with the ability to prioritise workloads and work accurately under pressure.

WHAT IS REQUIRED FROM YOU?

• You'll be an organised invididual with good computer skills i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Extensive experience in a Financial working environment
• Effective liasing and communicative skills with Finance and Non-Finance employees.
• Ideally immediately available, if not 1~ weeks' notice is acceptable
