Cameron James are working exclusively with a growing restaurant chain and they are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the business. This is an immediate start, so ideally candidates will be on a short or no notice (although for the ideal candidate they will consider upto 1 month notice).

This role would be ideal for an experienced HR Advisor, looking for the next step in their career and moving into a standalone HR Generalist / HR Manager role.

The role will report into the Directors and will be responsible for managing all day to day generalist HR activities. They are also opening a new restaurant, so candidates will also be involved in the recruitment drive and managing HR for this project. This is a really varied and busy position, which will offer exposure to all areas of HR - ER, Recruitment, Full Employee Life Cycle, Starters / leavers, Reward, Training & Development.

The role has flexibility to work both in the office and also from home, so candidates can manage their own diary on a week by week basis.

Key duties will include;

• Standalone HR role reporting to the Directors - responsible for all aspects of the HR function, ensuring HR best practice is followed
• Responsible for updating of Company HR policies and procedures, Company Staff Handbook, Employment Contracts and on-boarding and off-boarding processors
• Involved in new site openings; managing and involved in the recruitment of c20 new employees, interviewing, managing starters, contracts, referencing etc.
• Provide guidance to Directors on legislative changes and required updates to company policies and procedures - sickness, holiday, eligibility to work etc.
• Implement procedures and providing expert advice on all ER matters; Disciplinary and grievance processes, Absence management and timekeeping, performance management issues etc.
• Management and introduction of HR procedures for new starters - on-boarding process for the company, including reference checking, staff contracts, making offers to candidates, delivering induction training and also exit interviews etc.
• Providing expert advice to managers and employees on a range of employment issues and managing the full on-boarding and off-boarding process
• Evaluating competencies & training needs for all employees
• Managing effective processes for maintaining and administration of employee HR records
• Responsible for all aspects of HR best practice and being first point of contact for any HR related queries and issues.
• Generalist role, providing full HR support on the full employee life cycle - for around 50-70

For this role candidates will need to have proven experience at this level and be capable of managing all aspects of HR for a growing company. Ideally CIPD Qualified, although experience is the most essential.

Candidates will preferably have experience working in Hospitality / Retail / Leisure / Hotel / Food (or similar) and understand the demands and challenges of the sector.
