Cameron James is delighted to be partnering with a leading commercial brokerage based in the heart of Leeds city centre who is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join their team.

As a Commercial Underwriter, you will play a key role in helping our client to achieve targets by developing profitable relationships with their Insurer partners. With a bespoke development plan and tailored mentoring to support you and help you cultivate your skills, this position offers the prospect of promotion to the ambitious Underwriter.

Ideally, you should have experience from within the Commercial Insurance sector, with excellent relationship building, communication and influencing skills.

You will be required to

• Utilise your underwriting experience to pro-actively manage, maintain and grow client relationships.
• Create new contacts by promoting a positive impression of our client and leveraging the client and prospect database.
• Provide subject matter expertise to the team in support of overall business goals.

Requirements

• Experience in Commercial underwriting
• Ability to manage client relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CII qualifications would be beneficial
