We are currently working with a global and very reputable business who are now looking to recruit a Pension Team Leader into the team.

It'll be your job to lead and manage the pensions administration team. It'll be your job to ensure that your team continues to maintain service levels agreed and the team is fully compliant with plan rules and regulations. This is fantastic opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

• In relation to the administration of the group pension schemes, assisting the Pensions Administration Manager in ensuring that the day to day activities of the team are followed and that the efficiency of the department is maximised through supervision and training of staff including staff appraisals. Implementing and managing process change within the department.
• Being the first point of contact for departmental queries in respect of the administration of the group pension scheme. This requires significant understanding and experience in all disciplines of pensions administration.
• Ensuring that the team continues to maintain service levels agreed with the Trustee and that the team is fully compliant with Plan rules and legislation at all times bringing to the attention of the Pensions Administration Manager any issues of concern.
• Managing the recruitment and training of temporary staff required for any project work.

To be successful you should be able to demonstrate:

• Analytical skills and be capable of communicating at all levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills and be capable of getting their message across to a team.
• The ability to take on extensive current and historic calculation methods, rules and legislation and be able to store that information for use on a daily basis is needed; and the ability to manage pressure during periods of heavy workload (e.g. redundancy programmes).
• Flexibility and adaptability in the face of constant change is required as well as the aptitude to read, understand and interpret legal documentation.
• Attention to detail is essential as are strong maths and English skills.
• An excellent communicator who is understanding, approachable and professional at all times.
• The ability to get the best out of a team of individuals and influence external departments to provide information in a timely manner.
