We are working exclusively with a large and growing service based organisation and they are looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to cover a 10 Month Contract.

This role is to start ASAP and will be up until the end of October. Ideally candidates will be able to start immediately, or on a short notice period.

Reporting into the HR Manager, the role will work as a busy team of 6 people, providing HR support to around 2500 employees. The role is fast paced and busy and you will be involved with all aspects of transactional HR and HR Advisory / ER services to the business. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• The role is a mix of traditional Generalist HR activities (HR Admin, HR Queries, ER, Recruitment, Training etc) and then once the person has bedded into the role, will move into a more purely HR Advisory role. Involved with supporting and coaching the managers on all aspects of ER and performance management.
• Field enquiries for all HR related issues via phone, e-mail and in writing, Co-ordinate the new starter and leaver processes including the CRB checking process, Co-ordinate and update the company induction process
• Advise as a panel member at formal hearings and produce written outcomes to protect the company against potential tribunal claims
• Support and coach managers in all aspects of employee relations, providing business focused, consistent and timely advice in accordance with employment law and HR procedures, including; Disciplinary, Grievance, Capability, Performance management and Sickness absence management.
• Support managers in change management activities in accordance with employment law and in consultation with Trade Unions as appropriate, particularly TUPE transfers and changes to terms and conditions.
• Monitor workforce and employee relations information to produce regular HR reports, including for sickness absence management and ad hoc contract tender questionnaires.
• Co-ordinate the company`s internal recruitment process and support the business with staff resourcing needs
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of any HR issues in the business including training and development needs, Carry out specific people development activities as and when required
• Ad hoc project support
• Assist HR Manager in continuously improving the HR service
• Develop positive working relationships with managers across multiple contracts in different locations

For this role candidates will need to hold proven HR experience at this level, and in addition to generalist experience, hold good knowledge across all areas of ER and Performance management.

CIPD Qualification would be ideal, although not essential - experience and ability to work as part of a fast paced team is more important.
