An exciting opportunity has arisen with an award winning professional services firm for an Audit and Accounts Client Manager. The company is renowned for bringing staff in and being very focused on the development and internal progression of the employee.

Working within the corporate team the successful candidate will be providing services to both individuals and businesses of varying entity types. This will include many different sectors and specialisms.

The duties of the role include:

• Managing own portfolio and ensuring all compliance is adhered to
• Building and maintaining client relationships
• Preparing and supervise the preparation of annual accounts, management Accounts, VAT returns
• Reviewing planning, field work and completion of statutory audits
• Reviewing and supervising specialist audits
• Clearly and concisely communicate instruction to other staff and ensuring they are suitably trained and supervised for the assignment
• Keep Partners / Directors fully briefed on their clients and highlight any issues before key meetings and presentations
• Attend client meetings and present confidently accounts, tax and other work
• Reviewing personal tax returns
• Reviewing debtors and fee budgets on a monthly basis, report any differences to relevant Partner / Director
• Writing technical articles, blogs and attend networking events

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2 years` experience managing clients
• Sound technical knowledge and experience of taxation principals, accounting and audit standards
• Experience of working for a variety of entities preparing the accounts
• Confidence to communicate effectively with clients, team members, directors and partners
• Managed teams and provided feedback and training to individuals
• Strong commercial awareness
• Excellent IT skills : must be competent in all Microsoft packages, accounts production, audit and corporation tax software, Sage Line 50 and cloud-based accounting software
