An exciting opportunity has arisen with an award winning professional services firm for an Audit and Accounts Senior. The company is renowned for bringing staff in and being very focused on the development and internal progression of the employee.

Working within the corporate team the successful Audit and Accounts Senior candidate will be supporting the team while they are providing services to both individuals and businesses of varying entity types. This will include many different sectors and specialisms.

The duties of the audit and accounts senior role include:

• Supervising audit teams onsite, working on a variety of assignments at any one time and ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Completing specialist audits
• Perform internal audits for clients under an outsourced role
• Prepare individual and group statutory accounts under UK GAAP, including FRS102 for limited companies, LLP`s, partnerships and sole traders
• Training junior members of staff and providing feedback and support
• Develop client relationships
• Demonstrate commercial awareness
• Preparing draft reports and other documents to present to clients
• Monitoring WIP, fee targets and billing
• Prepare corporation tax, partnership tax and business tax computations

The ideal candidate will have:

• Newly or nearly ACA qualified or similar
• Sound knowledge and experience of auditing standards
• Experience of supervising assignment teams
• Good knowledge of basic tax principals
• Strong commercial awareness
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent IT skills : must be competent in all Microsoft packages, accounts production, audit and corporation tax software, Sage Line 50 and cloud-based accounting software
