A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join a large legal firm in Leeds city centre as a Legal Administrator. This role is initially a 3 month contract with the view of becoming permanent, once permanent the candidate will be trained and developed within the role as a Trainee Legal Secretary. The ideal candidate will be someone coming from a strong administrative background who is looking to grow and develop into a specialist secretarial role. A background within a professional services background would be advantageous for this role although not essential.

Duties of the role are to include:

• Dealing with invoices and billings
• Diary management
• Creating PowerPoint presentations
• Use of Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel
• Liaise with clients and associates
• Communicate with UK and European offices both verbally and written
• Assisting attorneys to meet deadlines

Experience needed for the role:

• Strong administration skills
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly and efficiently
• Excellent attention to detail
• High degree of accuracy
• A working knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Ability to work alone and prioritise work load accordingly
• A team player who is willing to assist the rest of the team when necessary

For this role it is essential that the candidate is a C grade or above in maths and English. This is the ideal role if you are looking for a career with longevity as after the initial 3 month period there will be many progression opportunities once you have completed the training to become a Legal Secretary.
