We are working with a well-established logistics company and they are looking for an experienced HR Manager / HR Business Partner to join the business.

Reporting into the HR Director the role will be responsible for managing the operational aspects of the HR function and providing a generalist and comprehensive HR service to the business. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Working as part of a team of 3 people, managing the HR Advisor.
• Providing HR support to around 350 employees across 3 sites in the UK (Main site at Heathrow)
• Provide a comprehensive HR Business Partner service to Line Managers, employees and the business building strong relationships across functions.
• Recruitment & retention - responsibility for some recruitment activity, interviewing, contracts of employment and development of induction.
• Assisting with training programmes and employee development, providing guidance on training and development solutions. Evaluate all training.
• Advise and support employees on company benefits, Evaluate company benefits annually to ensure they are up to date and relevant
• Employee relations, managing absence, sickness, disciplinary, maternity and paternity, advising on people issues as requested. Assisting with complex HR issues such as redundancy and change management using HR knowledge and experience.
• HR Policies and procedures - Employee Handbook; ensure all polices are legally compliant and handbook is kept up to date.
• Promotes positive change in people management.
• Employee Survey - administer and evaluate results identifying areas of improvement.
• Performance management - assist with development of robust appraisal systems and coach managers on performance management issues and processes.
• Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time each month.
• Oversee and ensure all HR administration is completely accurately and with time-scales, complete regular reports as instructed.

For this role candidates will need be CIPD Qualified and have proven experience at this level. Ideally candidates will have similar or transferable industry experience, with exposure of working with a blue and white collar workforce - logistics, manufacturing, engineering, industrial etc.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be liaising with managers across the business.

They will be occasional travel to other sites to attend meetings and provide on-site HR support.
