Cameron James are working on an exclusive basis with a growing transport business and they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and capable HR Advisor / HR Generalist.

This role is an immediate need and the the client would like the successful candidate to start ASAP, so candidates will need to be either immediately available or on a short notice period. Interviews are being held next week.

Reporting into the FD the role will have responsibility for a generalist HR function across 2 sites, supporting 170 employees. This is a stand alone role and will encompass HR administration, HR Advisory, ER, Recruitment and Payroll Reporting. The role will have support from a HR consultant, so although working independently, there is guidance and support provided and also scope to take on more responsibility as the company grows. Key duties and responsibility will include;

• Being the point of contact for HR queries across the business for employees and managers - across 2 sites in the UK - 170 employees
• Providing a generalist HR service to the business covering the full employee lifcycle
• Providing support, guidance and advice on all ER matters - day to day issues and also disciplinary and grievances.
• Coaching and supporting line managers and up skilling managers to deal with ER matters
• Managing all aspects of recruitment - advertising, CV sifting, candidate screening, interviewing. Sending out offers and managing the full on-boarding process
• HR administration including starters / leavers, updating and keeping up to date all HR records
• Payroll preparation - providing information for processing - salary`s, sickness, overtime etc. Ensuring all payroll information is correct

For this role candidates need to have proven HR experience at this level and have previous exposure with managing ER cases. CIPD Qualification is desired, although not essential as the experience and willingness to learn is the most important requirement. The company will provide support with the CIPD Qualification.

This is a busy and fast paced role and candidates must be confident working on their own initiative in a hands on HR role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be the point of contact for the business.
