Human Resources Manager

An exciting opportunity for a Season Human Resources Manager has arisen with one of our exclusive clients based in Basildon. The role of a Human Resources Manager is to deal with recruitment, on-boarding, payroll, developing and looking after employees. This involves functions such as training and monitoring performance at all levels.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of a Human Resources Manager:

• Recruiting, training and developing staff.
• Dealing with PAYROLL and making sure it is correctly run on time.
• Approving job descriptions and advertisements.
• Organising coaching and training of Senior Management up to board level.
• Implementing & developing HR Policies.
• Responsible for implementing succession planning and reward management.
• Monitoring staff performance and attendance.
• Advising Line Managers on employment law and the employers own employment policies and procedures.
• Implementing staff appraisals, and psychometric testing principles.
• Ensuring candidates have the right to work at the organisation.
• Negotiating salaries, contracts, working conditions with staff and representatives.
• Dealing with Disciplinary and Grievance Hearings.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in the role of Human Resources Manager : with a minimum CIPD Level 5 qualification.
• Experience handling Payroll (Access).
• Experience doing Symmetric Appraisles.
• High organisational skills and ability to manage many projects at the same time.
• Ability to prioritise own workload.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to form working relationships with people at all levels.
• Conversant in IT skills e.g. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and CRM systems.
• An administrative background.
• Must have numerical skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Work as part of a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
