Cameron James is working in partnership with a National Insurance Broker who is seeking a Commercial Account Handler to join one of their thriving North Yorkshire based branches.

Working as part of a lively team you will be responsible for account handling for a wide variety of commercial clients paying premiums ranging from £5k up to in excess of £100k. As the book of business is so diverse, no two days will be the same.

This National brokerage has grown organically for the last 20 years and are now have a National coverage with Branches across the United Kingdom, they are a thriving company specialising within the General Insurance markets and working with all of the Top Insurers in the market.

The role of Account Handler : General Insurance:

• Prepare documentation, invoices, broking submissions, client registers and all other administration as required in a manner that complies with business procedures.
• Ensure all business is placed with approved insurers/markets.
• Receive and act promptly on instructions from Account Directors/ Ensure all instructions are correctly documented.
• Ensure correct creation and maintenance of all records of all business transacted, both on paper and electronically.
• Ensure all client/insurer conversations are recorded
• Deal with any complaints promptly and fairly in accordance with our complaints handling

The Experience of the Account Handler : General Insurance:

• Experience in main classes of insurance - motor fleet, commercial combined, property owners, haulage, goods in transit and professional indemnity.
• Previous experience in an office environment
• Good Acturis understanding is desirable
• Good computer skills - MS Office package
