Job Information

I am current working with a global manufacturing company based in the North East on a Health and Safety Officer vacancy which will also include some work within either the Quality Assurance department or the Procurement and Logistics department. As this is dual role it is essential the candidate has a team spirit and flexible nature.

This role will give the right candidate a fantastic insight into a global manufacturing company and allow for progression and development as well as good all-round experience within different departments.

As the role is primarily Health and Safety it is imperative the candidate has IOSH and NEBOSH qualifications. The company already have an ISO 181001 system in place.

The H&S duties will include:

Running the H&S department
Risk Assessment
RIDDOR Reporting
Internal Audit
Tools Box

For the second part of the role candidates wanting to go down the Quality Assurance route the duties of this part of the position will include : Working alongside the QA manager to input data, make Statistical Process Analysis and Prepare information for the board. An ISO knowledge is essential.

For candidates more interested in the Procurement route the duties would include : Preparing invoices and packing lists, Sourcing for non-critical parts and generally helping the procurement Manager with his daily duties.

It is essential for this role the candidate is fully computer literate with advanced Excel skills. Previous experience of working within a H&S role is desired but a graduate level entry would be considered.

This is a global company so any foreign languages spoken would be advantageous to an applicant.
