Purpose and objectives

To act as a professional and competent HR Business Partner ensuring a variety of HR operational and administrative tasks are carried out to a high standard for internal customers. Acting as a Partner to all functions across all parts of the business sites delivering a comprehensive HR service. Delivering practical solutions to people issues in line with employment legislation, assisting in developing robust polices and processes to ensure the company becomes an employer of choice. Motivating and developing employees with fairness and integrity ensuring a competent multi-skilled and flexible workforce.

The Person

You must be graduate CIPD qualified, pro-active, self-motivated and people orientated, confident and capable of working individually but able to build strong relationships, liaising and advising at all levels. You will possess a high level of verbal communication and presentation skills together with demonstrable solid knowledge of employment law which is essential. You will be skilled in analysing situations to work towards the best outcome for both the business and the employee. You will be experienced across all HR disciplines.

Responsibilities

1. Provide a comprehensive HR Business Partner service to Line Managers, employees and the business building strong relationships across functions.
2. Recruitment & retention : responsibility for some recruitment activity, interviewing, contracts of employment and development of induction.
3. Assisting with training programmes and employee development, providing guidance on training and development solutions. Evaluate all training.
4. Advise and support employees on company benefits.
5. Evaluate company benefits annually to ensure they are up to date and relevant
6. Employee relations, managing absence, sickness, disciplinaries, maternity and paternity, advising on people issues as requested. Assisting with complex HR issues such as redundancy and change management using HR knowledge and experience.
7. Policies and procedures : Employee Handbook; ensure all polices are legally compliant and handbook is kept up to date.
8. Promotes positive change in people management.
9. Employee Survey : administer and evaluate results identifying areas of improvement.
10. Performance management : assist with development of robust appraisal systems and coach managers on performance management issues and processes.
11. Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time each month.
12. Ensure all HR administration is completely accurately and with timescales.
13. Complete regular reports as instructed.
14. Attend meetings as directed.
15. Protect and promote the companies Quality Brand
16. Attend industry relevant meetings and events as required.

1. Provide any financial information that may be required on time, accurate and to the agreed format.
