Cameron James is pleased to be partnering with a leading manufacturing business on the outskirts of Huddersfield for the recruitment of a HR Manager.
This unique opportunity is a combined role, initially taking responsibility for leading the HR department during a maternity cover, then moving into a role to develop the Learning and Development for the organisation.
This a complex yet fascinating manufacturing environment, with heritage and quality running through its product range.
The initial part of the role is to co-ordinate all HR activities from

• HR administration and operational support
• Co-ordinate all recruitment activities from attraction, selections, offer management to induction
• Advising, supporting and guiding Managers where needed
• Overall responsibility for maintaining policies and keeping the business up to date with employment law updates
• Taking the lead on supporting the business annual apprenticeship intake
• Payroll cover and support when required

After the maternity cover period, you will take the reins in supporting the organisation`s commitment to Learning and Development with the remit to include:

• Developing and implementing a review system across all departments
• Working with the senior team to identify training needs for each department
• Designing and delivering inhouse training across all levels
• Controlling and organising all external training

If this sounds the perfect role then we`d love to hear from HR professionals with experience of working within manufacturing environments. CIPD qualified (preferred but not essential).
You will also have a natural flair for coaching and training managers/employees
You will also have strong MS Office skills combined with an understanding of Sage HR/Payroll
This unique role will give you a real flavour of the organisation whilst covering the maternity post, to then embark on the new opportunity of Training and Development Manager.
