A prestigious West Yorkshire solicitors` firm are looking for a Legal Cashier to join the team at their Leeds based office. The main duties of the Legal Cashier will include:

• Ensuring that office, client and nominal account ledgers are updated daily.
• Checking and data entry of private client, Legal Aid and Legal Help bills.
• Processing payments on account of legal aid fees and disbursements.
• Raising cheques in accordance with fee earners or support staff instructions.
• Taking debit & credit card payments and processing paperwork for same.
• Banking including reconciliation in accordance with SRA accounts rules.
• Processing incoming and outgoing electronic payments in a timely manner and
• maintaining accurate records and notifications.
• Maintenance of the firm`s petty cash system.
• Ensuring that transactions and processes comply with the SRA Accounts Rules,
• HMRC regulations and other relevant legislation and guidance.

It is essential for this role that the candidate will be someone with a clear understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules and is an experienced Legal Cashier.
