Cameron James are currently looking to recruit a Head of HR to join an exciting organisation who specialise in nursing and care for both temporary and permanent health and social care professionals nationwide.

Reporting to the HR Director, the Head of HR will develop and deliver people management strategies which support the overall strategic aims and objectives of the company. (Within the Healthcare sector - Healthcare, Private, Public and Not for Profit sector experience is highly desired or experience working for a medium to large organisation.)

Core elements of the role will be to contribute at a strategic and operational level, identifying HR priorities and making recommendations and to deliver expert professional advice and support to stakeholders including management, employees, members and client groups.

The Head of HR will line manage the HR department and reception.
This role requires substantial HR experience working in a senior capacity, the ability to establish credibility and build department accountability, and commercial acumen.
Role Responsibilities -

• Provide full HR generalist advice and support to the business in a timely, relevant and professional manner for all people matters
• Oversee the implementation of HR programs through the HR team. Identify opportunities for improvement and resolve problems
• Oversee and manage the work of reporting HR and reception team. Encourage the ongoing development of the team
• Develop and monitor an annual budget that includes HR services and employee recognition
• Conduct a continuing study of all HR policies, programs and practices to keep management informed of new developments
• Establish and lead HR department measurements that support the accomplishment of the company`s strategic goals

The ideal candidate :

• Degree level education (preferably in business and/ or HR)
• CIPD qualified with evidence of continuous professional development
• Proven experience in HR management
• Held previous position of seniority, able to establish credibility and build department accountability
• Able to problem solve and demonstrate operational and strategic skills
• Experience of acting as a role model is essential and leading teams
• Comfortable in developing team members and empowering teams
• Project management and workload prioritisation skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Demonstrates commercial acumen : partners with the business to deliver commercially focused people strategies and has a good overall understanding of company finances and uses this to develop policies
• Strong computer skills for presentation and analysis of HR data
• Gravitas to support, challenge and coach senior teams, internally and externally
• Ability to deputise for the HR Director
• Essential UK travel including overnight stay.
