We are working with a well-established educational charity and they are looking to recruit a HR Administrator / HR Assistant to join the team.

Working as part of a HR team of 9 people, the role will report into one of the HR Business Partners, and responsible for HR administration, Recruitment and Payroll activities. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Working as part of a busy HR team of 9 people, providing HR support to around 1700 employees
• Split role to cover HR Administration 45%, Recruitment 45% and Payroll inputting 10%
• Managing the recruitment process; co-ordinate job descriptions, job adverts and job vacancies for active posts, dealing with the application process for job, coordinating interviews, screening candidates, recording all recruitment activity
• Produce offer letters, contracts of employment and reference requests
• Maintain and update all HR records for staff.
• Setting up and creating new HR files for new starters
• Produce HR letters and reports, ensuring that data is accurate and managed appropriately.
• Input payroll information and changes onto the HR database i.e. new starter and leaver information, changes of salary, holidays etc.
• Advise employees on HR policies and procedures
• Assisting with HR projects
• Day to day HR administration support to the HRBP
• Send correspondence for the HRBP in relation to payroll and other human resources matters, dealing with routine correspondence, handle HR telephone enquiries etc.

For this role candidates will need to have HR and recruitment administration experience and ideally be working towards CIPD Level 3.

This is a varied and fast paced role, so can candidates need to be able to manage their own workload effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Working as part of a busy HR team, the successful candidate will have exposure to all generalist areas of HR, so there is a good opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop.
