A rare and exceptional opportunity has arisen to join a large retail organisation in Manchester as a HR manager. This position is an excellent prospect for an ambitious HR Manager looking to join a company who are offering a clear progression path to becoming the Head of HR over the next few years. It is essential for this position that you hold a minimum of CIPD level 5 qualification and level 7 would be advantageous but not essential.

This role has a number of direct report and will be part of a growing team as the company plans to expand over the next couple of years. Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level and be system savvy is a crucial requirement. This is a true generalist role and the right candidate will be exposed to all aspects of HR.

The duties of the HR Manager will include:

• Generalist day to day operational Human Resources
• Resourcing for new business needs and developing a high calibre workforce
• Employee engagement
• Commercial focus, maintaining and delivering a HR strategy plan
• Overseeing HR and Payroll systems
• Corporate responsibility
• Project work as and when required

The right candidate will be a natural leader who has no problem showing authority but also is approachable and personable and be a confident and effective communicator with both blue and white collar employees.
